Cover work

Currently working on a cover for children's section. This is not that 'children-y'.. :( aw, aw, aw.. then I changed the style and choice of colors. I love animals.. (ok, just the cute ones) and so I decided to add some in the frame.

Sisters Doing Business

My long lost client came back! Ehm, the thing was... I forgot to inform her (& some others) about my new phone number since I lost the last one. *pretty lame, huh? They might be looking for me, but then they chose others because of that one slip. Anyways, she is building a new business, and she's like to include her daughters as her inspiration to be in the logo. So here is my shot.

Hip Hop Gang

What happen when young moms cardio-dancing together on their spare time? Quite funky to me. They want to make Bratz-looking characters representing themselves on the book they're making for this Christmas. The book is a gift for their instructor I heard.

I Do Websites

Ok, that is my first one. I learned some web design in college, but never have tried it out on business until last year with my friend, Nelsen the CSS brain. Here are some works I did:

Well if you want me to work on yours, you can click on his name Nelsen for more details :)

Breaking Designs

They let me to do more design on the magazine this year, well.. it's actually our church bulletin, but it has the look of a small magazine, called Breaking, which is cool :) I got the Kids' section one page, and an event coverage on a spread page. Actually there's another one but I didn't really like it, so I decide not to put it up together. This is our January edition, the February is not out yet, so I can't put it up yet.

Praise the Lord

Here's your ticket!! I gotta gotta learn how to differentiate drawing styles for different age range. Example here, I'm not sure if it suitable for kids age 6-12. 12 is near to teenage, huh? or is the range too far that it confused me - but honestly, I gotta have extra awareness on that issue. Anyways.. this is for my friend's sunday school kids choir concert (I did their christmas invitation last year, too). I'm looking forward to see it!! They have Amani Utupe, and some other cool songs!!

I love making colorful posters - the thing is that I have to make it work. Think of what's the main focus again, and trying not to make people puzzled instead, below is my first attempt. I feel like the colors on the children at the back (on top of the hill, i mean) is distracting us from seeing the poster title where I want the main focus be..*awh.. internet colors degrading the saturation :(*
This is after I edit the color on the kids at the back :)

These two birds are for my wedding invitation :) I'm using the color green and pink to match the event theme. I'll put up the invitation design when it's done, ok ;)

Ladies, ladies..

I'm glad to have a loose-flowy feeling on this piece. After I drew several times working on the bw fashion, I can see that it's true that practice makes perfect. Keep on practising everyone!!

Elephants Welcome You to Thailand

Here are some preview on what I am working on at the beginning of this year: Elephants for Thailand tourism rep. They're gonna be on T shirts. I am still thinking of adding some background on the mom and baby elephant pic, so it might look more "tourism" look..

cravings..

Here are some of my favorites.. *I'm getting hungry already* Iphiau cah or soup, and the sweet and sour pork ribs. Yumm.. The kuah (soup) and the cah (stir fry with a bit of soup ) taste almost the same though, but if you need more of the watery part, you know which one to have. You can get these yummies at Siauw A Tjiap at Pesanggrahan and Taman Ratu if you're in Jakarta. If you're not, too bad..
